Planning for the third Visual
Arts Workers Forum is underway. Thanks to all who have sent suggestions for future topics for the forum –
internships, artists’ wages, government policy – there are many issues in the
air at the moment. Please keep sending in suggestions, and we’ll try to work as
many of these issues as we can into our programming for the day-long forum.
The 2013 forum was initially drafted to
be hosted by CCA Derry-Londonderry, but this partnership has been postponed so
the Directors of CCA can focus their energy on Derry’s Capital of Culture
activities, and we look forward to the forum being produced in Northern Ireland
in future years.
Visual Arts Workers Forum
is a forum for visual arts workers in Ireland to enable an open conversation
and forum for debate.
It is for all visual arts workers - artists, art writers, art students, curators, art historians, educators, arts officers, private gallerists, art technicians, archivists, studio managers, facilitators, art administrators, art handlers and more.
